About Us

We are a congregation of the Church of Scotland, serving the needs of the parish of Pulteneytown and Thrumster.

Worship

The Sundays page lists the formal services that the church holds every Sunday. But don't be alarmed. Come along in casual clothing or in full morning dress - you are equally welcome, however you dress. All we ask is that everyone comes with an attitude of respect. Respect for God, our maker, and respect for our fellow human beings.

There are times when we will sing together, and times when we will meditate and pray in silence. Everyone who comes has their own special needs and each person is given the space to pray and praise, to meditate and read God's word under the guidance of the minister.

There are also opportunities to meet and chat with friends, both before ad after the services. The courtyard around the church doors is perfect for this.

Groups  But remember its not just the Sunday meetings that we hold.

Find out about the other groups affiliated with the church that may be of interest. Some of those involve being creative and industrious whilst others encourage lively debate.

Looking Forward

The kirk session has recently undergone a period of reflection: reflecting on the congregation's past history, its current position and its future destination. The end result of this process was a written congregational five year plan.
